GOLIAD FFA
300+ Members Strong
Goliad FFA is dedicated to providing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success to all individuals associated with the Agricultural Sciences program. We passionately empower the next generation of agricultural leaders through exploration, innovation, and community engagement. Together we sow the seeds of curiosity and nurture leadership to shape a brighter and more sustainable future for the agricultural industry. Additionally, we strive to enhance student abilities through the mission and goals of Goliad ISD, provide a strong foundation in the disciplines taught at the high school level, incorporate real-world principles defined in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, and develop the student's interest through a tripartite curriculum; 1) Classroom Instruction, 2) FFA, and 3) Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
Goliad FFA is led through the assignments of three Agricultural Sciences Teachers; Samantha Longino , Scott Meinardus, and Nathan Hammack. Students are to begin agricultural education in the foundation course called Principles of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Upon completion of this course, students are able to venture into pathways of interest within the department: Agribusiness, Ag Mechanics, Animal Sciences, Horticulture, Plant and Soil, and Wildlife Sciences.
